The LAKE DOCTORS of California began restoring lakes and ponds in June 1984  in the Sierra Foothills area of Mariposa County California. In 1985, we expanded our coverage area to include Mariposa and Madera Counties. By 1986, we grew to include the counties of Mariposa, Madera, Tuolumne and Calaveras. People began talking and spreading the word about our patient services and before we knew it we were also working in Kern, Tulare, Kings, Fresno, Merced, Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties of California.

 

In the early years, we offered Aquatic Plant Harvesting and enviromentally safe Herbicide and/or Algaecide applications. By following our passion for "everything water" and listening to our patients and their aquatic needs, we diversified the company to include water testing, aeration installation and service, dock construction, beach installation, fish planting, fountain installation and service, aquascape and water feature management, dredging services, lake design and construction services.

 

Now after over 30 years in the Aquatic Restoration and Management Industry, we assist patients in all the Western United States. Our patients include municipalities, golf courses, city parks, college campuses, owners associations, water and irrigation districts, campgrounds, property managers, country clubs, and individual property owners.

 

The LAKE DOCTORS of California continue to maintain the very personal and careful approach to lake and pond services that originally put us on the map. Whether it be restoration, construction, management or maintenence, we try to treat all our patients like family, while at the same time offering professional aquatic services to all.
